Consignment Program Guidelines

Thank you for considering consigning your equestrian products with us. We offer competitive commission rates and a high standard of care and customer service.

We accept new and/or gently used quality English & Western saddles, tack items, equestrian themed home decor and equestrian brand name apparel/accessories for our consignment program.

To be considered for our consignment program, items must be clean, safe, have no major defects or broken parts, and be complete and usable. 
If you prefer not to consign we do offer the option to sell your items to us. Guidelines for purchase are based on a percentage of the original selling price and condition. See a Tack Trove staff member for more information or send us an email at thetacktrove@gmail.com


We reserve the right to reject any item(s) that does not meet our criteria or does not appear to be of good quality. We do not consign any safety gear, including helmets, air vests etc. . We do not accept any supplements or food products.

You must also complete our consignment agreement.

 

Cleaning service: The cleaner your saddle is, the faster we can sell it and a good cleaning will often increase the value of your saddle. We offer cleaning service on leather saddles that includes a full deep cleaning and conditioning. Saddle cleaning is available for a fee of $50. 

Dirty items (tack) may be subject to a cleaning fee if there is excessive dirt, hair, etc. and the items need to be cleaned prior to listing the item(s) online. A cleaning fee of $10 will be charged per item.

Blankets need to be in excellent repaired condition we do offer washing for $20 for consignment items. 


Safety checks: Please note that The Tack Trove checks every item before accepting them into our consignment program. Saddles and tack are checked for broken/twisted trees, thinning or cracked billets, loose stitching, broken or missing hardware, and other possible defects that would make the item(s) unsafe. In the event that your item has a problem that can be fixed to make it usable again, we will call you to find out if you would like to have the item repaired at the Consignor’s expense. If the item cannot be repaired it will be returned to you (at your expense if shipped). You are welcome to call or email to receive a repair quote from one of our 3rd party tack repair specialists prior to sending your item in for consignment.

Consignment fees: Pricing is determined by The Tack Trove and may progressively be reduced until sold, or reduced during sale events.
Our consignment fee is 25%

Consignment drop off is available within our regular posted hours. We do recommend you reach out to us before you drop in. Appointments are available after hours.
